Accessing the Compact Microwave Tools

To use the Compact Microwave cad tools, your environment must be initialized by executing the following command line under the shell (sh, ksh, or bash.)

. /usr/local/lib/profile.compact
You may wish to add that line to the bottom of your .profile if you will be using the software frequently.

The Compact software consists of the following programs

  • sc Supercompact
  • mh Microwave Harmonica
  • schedit Serenade
Once the environment has been set up, you may type 'sc' or 'mh' to execute the programs. Note, these are OpenWindows programs, so you must be OpenWindows or be running X-Windows window manager software. Remember to export the DISPLAY if necessary.
